#PlaceForAll150

A collection of community painted paper plates on display at the Varley Gallery.
Some of the community plates reflecting their place in the community.

For Canada’s 150 birthday, my artist friends and I partnered with Culture Days and the Varley Art Gallery for the Unionville Festival. We offered a full day of various art workshops celebrating culture and creativity. Our community art project spanned both physical
and digital explorations of how each person views their “place in Canada.” Open and free to the public, we invited everyone to define their place and reflect on what it means being Canadian.
As one of the co-organizers, I was responsible for grant applications, sponsorships, community partnerships, branding, and graphic design.

Crafteria Papercraft Workshops

As part of Across U-Hub’s Crafteria programming, I was invited to host a series of Papercraft techniques workshops. I created introductory workshops for paper modelling, paper cutting, bookbinding, and paper painting.
