Library Presentations

OLA Lightning Strikes 2025

During the 2025 OLA Lightning Strikes, I had an opportunity to share ideas on how academic libraries can better support students with their side hustles. By providing practical solutions, I believe that both academic and public libraries can continue to support their patron’s financial projects.

I also created a mini subject guide to assist students to start their side hustle journey.

Tools: MS PowerPoint, Open Source Stock Photography, Mentimeter, WordPress

Grade 9 Biography Research (22 min)

I created an instructional presentation on how to best use Canadian Encyclopedia for a fictional Grade 9 class.

For this project, I presented live online presentation with MS Teams, created 2 slide decks (one for audience and another for other presenters), a simple handout, and a Mentimeter survey.

Tools used: MS Teams, Adobe Express, Mentimeter

Fine Free Libraries (6 min)

In collaboration with my group members, I was responsible for the video creation to convey our fictional library’s Fine Free policy. I created the information presentation to patrons using a combination of stock and original media. After my team’s narration recording session, I then undertook the editing and addition of captions for increased
accessibility.
